Here at Armstrong Farms, our rustic barn wedding venues specialize in the weekend wedding experience. Located just 30 minutes from the heart of Pittsburgh, in the historic town of Saxonburg, we’re the perfect destination to leave the hustle and bustle of the city to celebrate your love story with a weekend of quiet, rustically elegant beauty.
Our History
A Pennsylvania Century Farm, our roots go back to 1816. For nearly all of our 200 years, we have raised purebred black angus cattle (click here to learn more about our beef and cattle business). Our dedication to and love of the land is part of our heritage and has been the core of our family and businesses for 7 generations! We take great pride in our family’s land and have always been looking for how to share it with others.
In the spirit of sharing our family farm with others, we began operating as a Bed & Breakfast in 1996. We quickly decided to take it a step further, and began restoring our mid-1800s barn to host weddings and special events. We hosted our first wedding in 2000, one of the first barn wedding venues in the area!
Armstrong Farms Today
25 years later, we have hosted hundreds of weddings on our property and our couples have become an integral part of our farm’s beautiful story.
Today, we are proud to offer two separate venues, Fieldstone and Westminster Preserve. In addition to their unique charm, each venue is situated on its own private property and includes a beautiful ceremony site, a fully restored barn, and farm houses for the full weekend experience.
